Tips and Tricks Getting Your Call Count Calendar Ready for Next Year
Sep 28, 2022It’s that time of year again – leaves are falling, pumpkin sales reach an annual high, and you buy way too much Halloween candy. Even though we have a few more months left in the year, it’s never too late to start making preparations for the next one.
One of those preparations you should make now is setting up your EPASS Call Count Calendar so that you are ready to schedule delivery or service calls in the new year.
Not sure how? Read on and we’ll show you how completing this quick step will prevent future frustrations.
What is the Call Count Calendar?
If your business offers delivery or service, then you might already be familiar with the Call Count Calendar. In EPASS, the Call Count Calendar controls the number of calls you can schedule in a day for each of your Map Zones (delivery or service areas.) You can also use it to view the number of calls that have already been taken, and how many remain for a specific date and map zone.

Getting Your Call Count Calendar Ready
A correctly set-up Call Count Calendar for the year is essential for dispatching and you won’t be able to schedule any calls without it! That’s why it’s a good idea to have it set up and ready to go before you book that first call for next year.
Here’s how:
- In EPASS, go to Invoicing > Dispatching > Call Count Calendar.

- At the bottom of the Call Count Calendar screen, click the Add button.

- Keep Map Zone set to **** All Records, and change the Call Date From January 1 To December 31 of the following year.

- Click OK.
That’s it! The Call Count Calendar uses the call data that was entered for each Map Zone when EPASS was installed for you. If you need to make adjustments to a specific day, select the date in the Call Count Calendar screen, and then click Edit. You can now enter a new Calls Allowed for that day.
Conclusion
It’s never too early to start prepping for next year! Getting your Call Count Calendar ready is a quick and easy step that you can take today. Otherwise, you’ll be faced with a lot of “Date Not Available” messages when you try to schedule a call in the new year!
